It's a crockpot day today! I love the smell that the crockpot puts off all day, especially on rainy, dreary days like the one we're having today. I found this recipe while lurking in a parenting forum one day. It seemed so simple, and sounded delicious, so I had to add it to my collection!
Ingredients: one roast one can French onion soup one can beef broth one bottle of dark beer
Directions: Mix the liquids together and pour on top of your roast in the crockpot. Let it cook on low for eight hours. Shred the meat, then put it back on low for another thirty minutes. Eat on crusty rolls. (I used French-bread hoagies.) It makes its own au jus dipping sauce to serve on the side.
Living in small town Oklahoma, I am married to the sweetest man you will ever meet. We have five young children, so I would now consider myself a professional juggler. I'm a wannabe crafter, cook, baker, and gardener. Some might call me crunchy. I'm okay with it.
