It's been a couple of days since I gave you a new recipe! We've been busy, so dinner has been easy stuff like grilled cheese and spaghetti.
I love fettuccine alfredo! It is not something that should be served often, because it is super-rich and FULL of calories, but man is it delicious! It can be a meatless meal, or feel free to add your favorite meat. We added shrimp to ours tonight!
Ingredients: 1 large container heavy whipping cream 2 cartons Parmesan cheese (shredded) 2 cloves of garlic (minced) 3 tablespoons butter 1 package fettuccine or linguini noodles (cooked and drained) salt and pepper to taste cooked shrimp or grilled chicken (optional)
Directions: In a deep sautee pan, melt the butter, and add the minced garlic. Cook the garlic over medium-low until aromatic, then add the cream. Stir with a wooden spoon until bubbly. Add in the cheese a little at a time, stirring until melted. Add salt and pepper to taste. Add cooked meat and allow to simmer together. Serve over noodles.
